And another cushion :-)
I have finished another cushion and this time it is for a dear friend of mine.
Design Lise/ Kreativ Quilt. Fabric are scraps from my merry merry snowmen project with French General. My friend asked me to take less red in her next cushion but I find that the red make the cushion glow. Don´t you agree. See picture under….
I have also made her the cushion in my next picture. You can find the pattern on Moda Bakeshop here.Theese 2 cushions will go very well together on her new sofa.
This is my minispool quilt made in Camille Roskelley´s class at Gardermoen a few months ago.Unfortunately it turned out very wonky so I will never finish this quilt but I intend to make another one safe home in my own sewing room. My iron might be a bit kinder to me and my quilts… To bad though !!
Have yourself a lovely weekend quilting. I will try to finish 10 yards of binding.

Another Cushion for my daughter
Scrapping with my Indigo Crossing fabric again. I guess that you are pretty tired of me and those fabrics but I have a good time and that are the most important..
I made another cushion for my daughter Marit today. She told that the cushion I made her a while ago was a constant challenge for for her and her boyfriend, because both of them wanted to use it when relaxing. Ups problem solved :-)
Design Lise at Kreativ quilt shop in Kristiansand.
The backside of the cushion..
I enjoyed a really good cup of Caffe Mocca at " Lykke Interiør og Kafe´, Vågsbygd senter". I run into a good friend of mine, sweet Kari. We had a nice chat about life for a good hour.. Loved it !

AnnaKa´s Høstfloks/ english paper piecing.
2 new Christmas cushions. The pattern are from the norwegian designer AnnaKa and the fabrics are Lynette Andersen.
You can see the pattern here.
Fatquartershops Mysteryquilt 2014 block # 3 and 4. Now waiting for block # 5 in the mail.
Selvlagede potetlefser fra Valle i Setesdalen. Nyderlig med smør,sukker og kanel. Hmm de lokale damene, som var våre lærermestere denne dagen, skjønte ikke så mye av det med kanelen da ..
Making traditional potato "tortillas" from Valle/ Setesdalen in Norway. Tasting lovely with butter, sugar and cinnamon between the layers.
How did we make them:

Cushion #2 Moda Bakeshop and 1 table runner
This cushion and table runner are made for my oldest daughter Marit. She is moving in with her boyfriend and she wanted a Lexington Pillow but that is too expensive for 2 students.
I made her this cushion instead and she was very happy. The table runner are just 2,5" X 2,5" pieces sew´n together.
I have found the pattern at Moda Bakeshop and you can find the links to both the pattern and Designer in my privies post.

A new cushion from Moda Bakeshop .
I have made a new Cushions using a Mode Bakeshop Pattern. It was a fun little project and the fabrics are French General / Rouenneries Deux. Scrapping is one of my favorite things to do right now and there are lots of scraps left in my bin :-) You can find the patter here. The designer are Little Miss Shabby and you can visit here and see how she made her cushion. I extended my my cushion to 7X7 blocks the original are 6x6 blocks. Mine are perfect for cushions size 50X50 cm.
Happy sewing !
I have bought some safety pins with a slightly "bow" and they are easy to pin my quilts with instead go using glue. I absolutely love them.

This is going to be a cushion for Christmas and I am making 2 of them. Luckily it is still a long time to Christmas.
The designer is the norwegian designer AnnKa and the fabrics are Lynette Andersen and I bought the fabrics at Quilt´en in Arendal a long time ago.
Some inspiration for sewing.
The turquoise fabric is a gift from my dear friend Linda. She gave to me as a challenge and I stepped right on to it,

The pillows where found at a Store called No.1 in Kristiansand.

A new cushion
A have managed to finish a new cushion, well actually I have made 2 new cushions but I have smashed/ broken my iPhone so this is the only picture I have.
These 2 cushions are going to live in my new chairs that I have been waiting for the last month. Living 8 weeks in a our living room without any furniture is quit a challenge !! We have a small Tv room on first floor so the three of us has been crashing there for 8 weeks and we are still good friends thank you very much ;-)
The pattern is Lise at Kreativ Quilt here in Kristiansand.Easy and fun to make!
Tonje my youngest daughter has already ordered 2 cushions for herself. She is leaving for Bergen next semester to study to be teacher and we will have empty nest syndrome kicking in again.... Our oldest daughter is already studying law in Bergen so it will be a great comfort for us to know that big sis is there to look after Tonje.
Yes I know that I am more or less not present here in bloggland but you must know that I am visiting you without living a comment. My arm is still hurting and it needs to rest!
Take care and have fun, I am ;-)
