SSCS gift for Levin and a wedding gift

This is my gift to Levin/ I wannabe Crafty for my SSCS swap hosted by Chookyblue.I realy enjoyed this swap and it was my very first and I was not sure how everything would turn out. But everything went just great.
I made Levin a tabelrunner and a small wallhanging and as you can see I used every little piece of fabric!! Almost no leftovers and that made me very happy.

Dette er gaven jeg laget til Levin/ iwannabe crafty i Australia. Det var Chookyblue som organiserte hele swapen og hun gjorde en fantastisk jobb. Dette var en morsom oppgave og alt gikk veldig fint.
Jeg laget en løper og et lite veggbilde til Levin og som dere ser fikk jeg brukt opp nesten alle stoffene og det gjorde at jeg ble veldig fornøyd med meg selv.




A wedding gift for my niece. She married her dear Rune and are verry happy. She loved the tabel runner I made for her though I did not finish it before November. I have to admit she married in September.. I had another gift for them on the big day but I also wanted Kaja and Rune to have something made by me too!
Thank you Kaja, I realy hope you always stay this happy!!


Dette er bryllupsgaven jeg laget til min niese. Hun giftet seg med sin kjære Rune og de hadde en strålende bryllupsdag. Hun ble veldig glad for den romantiske løperen hun fikk til bryllupet fra meg. Hun giftet seg i september men løperen ble ikke ferdig før i november, ja ja sånn går det. Hun fikk selvfølgelig noe annet fint på selve dagen men jeg hadde lyst til at hun skulle ha noe jeg hadde laget også.
Hun ble kjempefornøyd , takk Kaja for ditt strålende humør!!

My SSCS gift from Leanne

LOOK: This adorable gift came to me all the way from Leanne in Australia!!!
I am quite astonished, Leanne has made this lovely pincusion with lots of stitchery on it. I can see that she has put a lot work/ time into it and I will treasure it always..
She also sent me some lovely patterns togehter with some of her own cards and ofcourse the darling santa kenguru. This is far more than I excepected to receive when I first signed up at Chookyblue's Secret Santa Christmas Swap earlier this autumn. This has been my very first swap and I determined it will not be my last. I have had lots of joy and thank you so much to Chookyblue for hosting this Swap!!!

SE : Denne flotte gaven har kommet til meg helt fra Australia og Leanne. Jeg synes det er helt utrolig at noen jeg ikke kjenner kan lage noe så flott til meg. Nåleputa er bare helt nyderlig med masse flotte broderier på, du kan jo se lang vei at dette er mye jobb. Jeg vil alltid ta godt vare på denne for noe så flott kan jeg aldri lage selv. Hun har også sendt meg noe flotte mønstere og en veldig morsom nisse keguru... Jeg har fått masse flott ut av denne "swap'en" mye mer enn jeg forventet da jeg meldte meg på hos Chookyblue tidligere i høst. Jeg har hvertfall bestemt meg, dette blir ikke min siste Swap. Dette har vært morsomt og givende og tusen takk til Chookyblue for at hun var så snill og arrangerte SSCS Swap 2008.

Parcels has arrived....

Christmas is here for sure and I have received a wonderful and very surprising parcel from my dear friend Eileen.
We had a fabric swap earlier this autumn and she gave some very special vintage fabrics .
This time she gave someting she has made herself and I will treasure it and think sweet tings about Eileen when I see them.. And she knows I love teddies, he he.
Thank you Eileen I love your gift.

My SSCS parcel has arrived all the way from Australia/ Leanne B and I feel very
lucky and almost cannot wait to open before Christmas, But I have promised to be a good girl...

Min SSCS pakke har kommet fram helt fra Australia/ Leanne B og jeg føler meg veldig heldig og jeg kan nesten ikke vente til Jul, men jeg har lovet å være snill pike...



I have done some serious fabric shopping for my black and white quilt challenge. I am quite pleased with the outcome of my shopping and I hope i might find the rest in my own stock.

Jeg har handlet stoffer litt vilt til min black and white quilt utfordring. Jeg er ganske fornøyd med blandinga på stoffene men jeg håper jeg finner resten i mitt eget lager.

SSCS is sendt and some new place mats ..

Dette skal bli åtte spisebrikker.Puh litt av en jobb! Jeg skal ha de på hytta så jeg har stressa litt for å få dem ferdig, for vi skal jo opp i helga..
Foreløpig er kun 4 ferdig men det holder å første omgang.
Jeg har lekt litt med forskjellige pyntesømmer på maskinen istede for å quilte tradisjonelt, det var jo litt gøy.
De skal ligge på et sort patinert furubord og jeg tror det blir fint. Høstaktig blir det iallefall. God helg til alle sammen fra meg !

This is going to be 8 place mats , wel it has been a lot work! We are going up to our cottage this weekend so I have tried to finish them up. A bit stressful but I have managed to finish 4 and it will do nice to begin with.
I have used my sewing machine to make different "seams" instead of traditional quilting and I have had lots of fun.
They are made for my dinning tabel at out cottage. The tabel is almost black and I guess this autumn platemates will turn out just perfect .

My SSCS 2008 gift has left the country and I hope the new owner will like what I have made for her.
This is my very first swap and I have put a lot of thought into this. I have been visiting my swap partners blogg and it has been nice to follow her moves.. She is a lovely lady.

SSCS 2008

I have signed up at Chookyblue for a Christmas swap and I am very excited! I have never done any swaping before so this is very new to me. Cookyblue had this challenge open just for a few days so I feel very lucky to be a part of this challenge.
I have now received my swapping partner from Cookyblue and I have been taking some sneekpeek at my swappingpartners blogg.. I am not allowed to tell anything that may reveal my identity.
I have been playing around in my thought's, what am I going to make. Well I have not decide yet, it is kind of difficult. Should I make a tabelrunner, a bag or maybe something else......

Here are the rules that Cookyblue have made:

Don’t tell anyone who your swap partner is please. This is a secret swap shhhhhhhhh!!!!!! A different person will be sending to you……….
You have to be willing to post internationally
You need to have an active blog …....posting a couple of times a month…….. so your partner can sneak a peek and get ideas of what to make for you and they know you are active……………therefore existing
You can make whatever you want eg, bag, wall hanging, softies, stitchery, table runner - whatever it is you love to make………send something you would love to receive…..

Sending (not before 10th November) deadline is 25th November to ensure your partner gets their present before Christmas (remember reason for swap)
