A new project.

I have just finished 2 UFOs and they are now soon on the way to be quilted.
I can start a new project :-) This one has been on my mind for a while...
Fairground Quilt /Modabakeshop. I am going to use 1 layer cake of Miss Kate by Bonnie and Camille.

Beautiful Hardanger

A wonderful weekend trip with my Husband..

Hardanger is in the western part of Norway and a very beautiful place to visit.
We stayed at the famous Ullensvang Hotel,a real treasure !
These where days to remember!

Basting your quilt..

I have taken a class at Craftsy and the teacher was Camille Roskelley , so this is her idea... I think it was the Swoon class.
She teached me how bast my quilt and I must say it has helped me a lot!!
You start with you backing facing the right side down, tape it to the floor.Then put the batting on and smooth it out as good as you can. Then put your quilt on the top and find all you safety pins. Pin the 3 layer together starting from the middle.Use your hands to make it all flat all the way out to the 4 corners.
Grmf, did you understand ??( Sorry my english are not perfect !)
This is my first larger quilt that I have quilted myself and it was a lot of fun !!
I will show you pictures from the completed quilt later.

Celebrating Mid Summer Eve

Summer challenge by the Quilt Guild.

Ranveig a quilting friend in my Quilt Guild made  me theese lovely things and a tissue holder. It was part of our summer challenge in the Guild. I send of some fabrics that I liked to someone in my Guild but the person did not know they were  from me. Thank you so much Randveig !!! I loved them all :-)) 

 All set for dinner at the cabin with my father in law and Liv ! 

We had a perfect evning. 

Sommeravslutning Kristiansand Quilteklubb

A special cake for very special ladies !
My Quilt Guild had the last meeting before the summer at a lovely old farm in Holum. ( Close to Mandal )
Ellen was so kind and organize this trip for our guild and she did a marvelous job.

Vaffel jern som tar 4 liter vaffelrøre pr vaffel :-)
Some very BIG waffles are made in this device..

This quilt is made by Ellen and she has very carefully quilted this quilt on her own long arm Machine.

Flowers

Wednesday are always my sewing day but not today. It was time for some gardening and I have been shopping for some new flowers and new potteries.
There was some light rain coming down from above but I enjoyed to be outside working with my new flowers.
