My Dresden quilt is finished...
My Dresden quilt is finally finished and I am very proud to say that I have quilted this quilt myself ;-)) Actually this quilt was quiltet on saturday 23/7 the day after the big bomb in Oslo and the shooting at Utøya where 67 young people died. It was good to feel occupied that day and to have something to keep my mind of the big tragedy...
Norway was changed that day to something better and we stand togehter as a united people.

Tiny Town Block # 3
My Tiny Town Block number 3 is finished. A sweet and easy block..
Now I am off to block number 7 and I am so happy to see the beginning of the end of this project..
Melanie/ Houseelf-doings has finished her block number 3 too, so be sure to pop over and see how her block turned out.Christine /Auntie's Quaint Quilts has finished her block number 1, pop over and see her block too.
It is wonderful to see how different people chooses to make the same block!
My life is slowly turning back to normal and my student has gone back to Bergen and my youngest has started her senior year at High school. This is my second week back at work and it is defenitely a better one than the first;-) I was very tired last week but now I am back in my sewingroom after work at night and it feels great!

Welcome to Flor og Fjære. On an Island just outside Stavanger you can find what used to be just stone and small mountains are now made into the most wonderful gardens I have ever seen. This is big business and a lot turists and norwegians have visited this Island over the years. I went there with my good friends Sol and Linda. They are both quilters.
We had the most wonderful trip and on the way home we made sure to visit the quiltshop Kaktusquilt in Tananger. Did we buy some fabrics? Oh yes we did ;-))
Thanks Linda and Sol for this wonderful trip..
Sol and me. ( I know the picture could have been better, sorry)
