A new cushion

A have managed to finish a new cushion, well actually I have made 2 new cushions but I have smashed/ broken my iPhone so this is the only picture I have.
These 2 cushions are going to live in my new chairs that I have been waiting for the last month. Living 8 weeks in a our living room without any furniture is quit a challenge !! We have a small Tv room on first floor so the three of us has been crashing there for 8 weeks and we are still good friends thank you very much ;-)
The pattern is Lise at Kreativ Quilt here in Kristiansand.Easy and fun to make!
Tonje my youngest daughter has already ordered 2 cushions for herself. She is leaving for Bergen next semester to study to be teacher and we will have empty nest syndrome kicking in again.... Our oldest daughter is already studying law in Bergen so it will be a great comfort for us to know that big sis is there to look after Tonje.
Yes I know that I am more or less not present here in bloggland but you must know that I am visiting you without living a comment. My arm is still hurting and it needs to rest!

Opam May 2013

A new quilt is finished. The name is Carousel and the design is "It`s sew Emma". I found the quilt in a book called "Simply Fat Quarters".
The quilt is quilted by "Ellens Systue", she is a lady in my Quiltguild. I washed it and I put it in the dryer. I do like the vintage look and I do not think that I want to iron it at all. I guess that this is a quilt for a cold long winter night because of the dark colors.
My daughter is going to give away for a wedding gift and she is going to be the maid of honour. I do hope that the happy couple will like it !!






I did some flower shopping today. At last we have some summer temperature here in Norway and I have enjoyed gardening today! :-)

A new quilt is finished :-) Opam April..

A finish at last and I can finally show you this quilt..
I have used 3 charm packs of Moda / Reunion and some yards of fabric. The pattern is a Moda Bakeshop pattern and you can find it here.
The quilting is made by Quilt´n Arendal and the quilt pattern is called "happy times ".
I am slowly getting back on track in my sewing room after being absence for a while. Love it !!
This weekend has been a very productive one and I have enjoyed myself !

Hi everyone of you.. Thank you so much for sweet comment and support on my last post.
Thanks to you I found courage to continue this project.
It is not perfect but it is me and only me who have made it ! I can live with my small imperfections.
I realy hope you can too .
Now I am off to have fun on my new project, 2 new cushions in beige and cream.
I wish you all a wonderful weekend. I hope to stay at home this one, just a little bit tired of moving around.

Jelly roll project "jellygirl" by Joanna Figueroa..
This project is taking forever and I feel like none of the block meets up like they should.
I am thinking about terminate this one, really. What would you do ??

I have made this small quilt for a stroller using a free patter from Bunny Hills design. You can find the link here . Bunny Hills Design has used for a ever so sweet towel appliqué but I wanted to make into a cute Baby quilt.
The fabric are mostly scraps from my Tiny Town quilt and are from Moda Martinique and Moda Fresh cotton. There are still a lot scarps left so I have plenty to play with some other time.
The bunnies are so cute :-)

Last night I had Linda visiting and we had a wonderful time sewing and chatting. Linda was sewing on some Martinique fabrics too and she is making some adorable windmill blocks.
I was into a jelly roll called Sakura Park by Sentimental Studios. Pink, light blue and green it is! It is a new project I just started last weekend and it is a Joanna Figueroa design and the pattern is called Jelly Girl. Love it !

I hope you all are enjoying the easter holiday. A lot of Norwegians are up in the mountains and having the last of winter before spring hits us. But this year it looks like we are going to have winter forever so no need to rush. I guess there will still be some snow in the mountains in may or maybe june too ;-)

4 place mates and 1 tabelrunner

For Opam february I have finished 6 place mates and 1 table runner. I have still fun with my purple fabrics. These place mates are my own design and very easy to make.

I am going to renovate my kitchen and living room and my time in the sewing room is scares for the time being.
Theres is lots of stuff to go true and a lot of things that are going in the bin and some are lucky to make it to a charity shop:-)

Next weekend I will spend at the Norwegian quilt association meeting in Sarpsborg and I am so looking forward to that..
Some dear friends will also attend so I will have company. I am going to a class with Fresh Figs byJoanna Figueroa and that will be lots of fun I guess .. I have also signed up for the bloggers breakfast on saturday and I hope to see some of you there !
