Swoon blocks # 3 , 4 and 5.

Here are my new Swoon block´s. I just got the hang of making these blocks and my goal are to use fabrics that I already have.. Ehe I might have to buy some dark blue fabrics though because the fabric I have are not the right blue.

Her er mine 3 nye Swoon blokker. Nå begynner jeg faktisk å få litt flyt når jeg syr og jeg trenger ikke sjekke mønsteret hele tiden. Jeg prøvde å sy 2 blokker på en gang men det ble bare noe surr.
Jeg prøver så godt jeg kan å bruke stoffer fra lageret mitt men mørke blått er mangelvare.
Til helga er det Norsk Quilteforbunds Årsmøte i Kristiansand/ Sørlandsparken. Det gleder jeg meg veldig til!
Jeg skal bo på hotellet i 2 netter, så jeg håper å se noen av dere bloggere der :-)

Swoon block # 2

These Swoon blocks are kind of addictive :-)

My very first Swoon block :-)

Here is my very first Swoon block.. Designer Camille Roskelley.
Swoon has been on my plan for a while and I have prepared myself by watching Camille Roskelley Craftsy class for Swoon.
You can find the link to her classes here. I thought that I also bought here pattern for Swoon when I purchased her class but it turned not so. I bought the PDF pattern at Fatquarter shop and if you have a account at Fatquarter shop then you can download the pattern unlimited, very convenient :-)
I am so into blue and cold beige for the moment it almost scares me. I might brighten up this Swoon quilt by putting in some soft pink and rose fabric. What do you think ?
How many block have I planed to make, ehh I do not know. I am just enjoying myself.

For the first time in over 2 month´s we have had some sunshine today. Yeah…
I had a lovely walk in the " Baneheia" with my sweet friend Linda. Thank you Linda for being patient with me :-)

Block # 8 and 9 for the Designer Mystery quilt is done too.
I am now waiting for block # 10to arrive, yohoooo I have catched up !

My version of The Fancy quilt / Modabakeshop

I have just finished a new quilt using my "Indigo Crossing" fabric. I just love these blue fabrics !
I have used 1 jellyroll together with some Bella Solid White.
The quilt was a lot of piecing but i had a great time making it :-)

I found the pattern on Modabakeshop and you can find the pattern here.
The designer are Live.love.sew.

The amazing quilting is done by Quilt´n in Arendal. Anne did some great customquilting on this quilt. I loved it :-)

I hope you all are having fun out there.. I have been busy traveling back and forth to Hvaler/Østfold this weekend.
There was absolutely no snow there !! Wonderful...
So there has been now sewing this weekend:-) My husband just left of to Australia today and he will be away for a week, so maybe I will find some time to myself before he returns.

Raisin Buns are a tradition in Norway the weekend before lent. Do you have the same tradition ?

OPAM february and some charm pack fun..

I have made a new table runner as a gift for a male friend. I have used dark colors to try to make a table runner to fit
his special space in the living room. I really hope he will like it :-)
The fabric are a mini charm pack I bought a long time ago.

I made the quilt top in 1 day and I loved making it. My back is acing now so there will not be any more sewing today :-)
I have used charm pack from Moda / High Street by Lily Ashbury for this quilt top. The High Street collection are so filled with promises of a lovely summer.Yes I sure hope so !

Just a little snow ;-)

I just have to show you some pictures from our cabin this weekend!
We have more than enough snow I guess :-)
I have not ever seen so much snow in the mountains where our cabin are seated ……………
The focus has been to remove snow from the roof and to make sure that we have free ways to escape if necessary/ emergency exits.
As you can imagine we have not been out of work this weekend :P

Merry merry snowmen block # 7,8 and 9

I am almost done with my Merry Merry snowmen project. I only have to put all the blocks together and put the boarders on.

Endelig ferdig med alle blokkene. Nå gjenstår det bare å sy sammen alle blokkene og sy på ramme :-)

Picture of the cabin from last weekend. Since then it has been snowing 75 cm with more snow …. The weather forecast tells us that it will snow even more next week. Puh...

Bilde fra hytta forrige helg, siden da har det kommet 75 cm med nysnø. Neste uke vil det snø enda mer :-)

BOM rehab ..

The Mystery quilt for 2013 Block #5, 6 and 7 are finished today. Now I am waiting for block #8, its a little bit late this month ?? Have anyone else received block #8 ??
I was way behind but I had a plan to catch up today and made it.. Now it is just the Merry Merry Snowmen project that I am behind with. I hope to catch up there too, maybe tomorrow ??
I love the word "BOM rehab" . I saw it at Messy Karens blogg and I thought it said it all..
"Quilt Republic" is another word that I love !

I dag har sydd 3 nye blokker i min Mysteri quilt: nummer 5,6 og 7. Nå venter jeg bare på blokk 8 som er litt sent ute denne måneden. Jeg håper den kommer snart..
Jeg har vært litt streng med meg selv og sagt at jeg ikke får begynne på noe nytt før jeg er ajour med prosjektene mine.
Nå er det bare Merry merry snowmen prosjektet som jeg har litt igjen på.. Kanskje i morra ??
Jeg fant ordet "BOM rehab" på Messy Karens blogg og fant ut det var en flott måte å si ting på som egentlig sa det meste :-)

As you can see: We have enough snow for the moment !! Right now it is raining so it might get very interesting tomorrow. Other parts of Norway are experiences very dry conditions and there has been some sever fires and some families have lost their homes...

Som dere ser er det mer enn nok snø på sørlandet!! Akkurat nå regner det så dette kan bli morsomt etterhvert.
Andre steder i landet vårt er det knusktørt og det er hverfall ingen ønske situasjon etter alle de brannene vi har hatt hvor mange har mistet hjemmene sine og er blitt evakuert.
